This blog was started by a European journalist based in Los Angeles one month before the 2016 elections, in a moment when the news were saturated by the two main presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. As a long-time observer of the country I call my second home, I felt this polarization was unfair to all the “ordinary people” that make this democracy what it truly is.
I also have the weird habit of not being on Twitter a lot, and more often in the street, talking to people, taking photos (sometimes in Twitter’s street, though). The stories published here are the result of these moments of furtive journalism, snapshots of California today. For better or for worse!
